What happens if you get sick before a cruise?

What happens if you get sick with a cold or a stomach virus or anything before a cruise without insurance?

 

Would HAL just say tough luck? or would they try to give you FCC?

Cruise lines don't really have to help you with a last minute issue like sickness

The COVID protections are pretty much gone.  Does your credit card have trip cancellation coverage for sickness?

It’s your body, and your responsibility. If you want to bear the risk of losing funds, you’re welcome to not buy insurance. Some people may choose that option- we’ve done so on occasion when we were willing to bear the risk, such as  super cheap fare ($379- not HAL) and insurance was $229 per person.
