leksi25 Posted March 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Can someone recommend the best time to use a cruiseship's gym facilities?
RB Bonzo Posted March 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2006 it can get crowded in the morning - if you're an early riser, first thing when they open up is best.

Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted March 18, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2006 The gym is usually pretty quiet on port days when everyone leaves the ship. It is also quiet during the evening and quiet around five and six when most passengers are dressing for dinner and evening activities. AT that time it is not unusual to see dancers from the show troup doing their warm ups and stretching.
mrgabriel Posted March 20, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2006 The gym is relatively quiet first thing in the morning (like 6 am). We found that the best time was in the afternoon, when the ship was docked and everyone was on excursions or shore. It was tough to run on the treadmills when the ship was moving - very much like running drunk. So afternoons, when most people were off the ship and it was standing still, was the perfect time to exercise, especially if you have late seating for dinner.
