Seascape February 19 in 6 weeks. Will give an update on “yahoos”, elevators, door locks, and entertainment. The service cannot be improved in the YC. It is the best it has ever been. I will be careful not to mention all the “abundance “ of  amenities that may or may not be standard. Still read reports that YC get free ice cream/gelato at the Venchi kiosks. Never bothered to try since I had a sundae every lunch and dinner in the YC restaurant, even had them at the YC buffet ( only item I would consider not ‘picked over’).

   Some of us enjoy the ‘contrast’ one finds outside the YC. What else would there be to write home about?

Have enjoyed reading about your experiences--thank you. We will be joining you in YC on 2/19 and are really looking forward to it. We are diamond level, but are bringing some friends who have never cruised before. After so many cruises for us, it will be fun to experience this one with the enthusiasm of first time cruisers. Our friends have always been very hesitant to cruise, so it will be interesting to see if they hate it, or if they'll be hooked for life after a week in YC as their first cruise experience.

Just a word of advice. Try not to be too pretencious, and feign some shock and awe for their benefit.

Please notice in the above video of Chef Lisa's Seafood Extravanganza there are no tongs or self service  One picks out and it is delivered. The only tong and a few plates are placed at the end of the bar as decoration.

I missed you. It is just another chapter in my travel diary which I find more sensational rereading it. (vainly trying to paraphrase Oscar Wilde)
