Heckah Posted December 30, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2022 I don't believe Uber is allowed in the port area, but Lyft is. We took a Lyft from the terminal to Denny's in Galveston for breakfast then went to IAH. It was 192.67 with tip from the Denny's. We had to take Lyft XL because there were four of us with luggage. We were on the second trip at the new terminal so the Lyft driver was a bit confused where to go, but I bet they know better now.
firefly333 Posted December 30, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2022 Self assist they said can get off at 8 am. Most were actually off before 730 am. Lyft can go into the port, uber hasnt paid to go I to the port but mine did. She said uber shows they should drop off in the parking lot. It took about 30 minutes for her to drop me off where you check luggage and I wasnt checking luggage. Parking lot would have been faster and walk to the check in place. Saltwater moms and the private shuttles have paid to drop you off in the port. When I got off it was so early no taxis were there and it was difficult to find where to meet a ride to me. And 40 degrees.
