BCN flight after cruise

We will disembark Saturday Dec. 9, 2023

Time states 6 am if no delays

2 ships disembarking that day us on Celebrity Infinity and an MSC ship at 8 am

we are considering a 12:15 flight but I know nothing about the port or airport including distance. We would take a taxi. Thank you very much for any information or about your experience flying out the same day you disembark.

We disembarked in Barcelona last September- there were also only 2 ships though it took 1 1/2 hours to get off the ship. Customs did not even check passports- we walked straight to the taxi line, which was a 45 minute wait. We decided that if we disembark again in Barcelona we would arrange a taxi or airport transfer in advance- saw many passengers doing that to minimize wait times. The ride, without traffic takes about 20 minutes- BCN was very crowded, long lines to get to the gates. (we had a 2pm flight). Are later flights available? Does your ship arrive at 6am and will you walk off with your luggage?
