scteacher31 Posted January 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2023 Hi! I am having a hard time finding a company that will deliver an oxygen concentrator and tanks to a cruise ship in the Charleston port. Does anyone have any suggestions? We called her oxygen company, Apria, and they said they stopped going to that port years ago. (Although there is an Apria office in Charleston.) Scoot Around only has small tanks and my mom needs the larger tanks. (Size D, I believe)
FOPMan Posted January 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2023 It would also need to be a supplier that is approved by the cruise line, I expect. You might contact special needs and ask them for suggestions.
kokopelli-az Posted January 13, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2023 Are you going to be on Carnival? If so, their website does state that passengers must make their own arrangements for oxygen delivery and the delivery company needs to contact Carnival to ensure they have port clearance. Have you tried specialneedsatsea dot com? Or do a google search for oxygen delivery and charleston. There appear to be several companies that deliver equipment but you'd have to check with them regarding delivery to the cruise ship.
marden1970 Posted January 18, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2023 We rent an oxygen concentrator for my husband and use Special Need at Sea. Very reliable and reason able. I would call them and ask if they service the Charleston port.
