NCL SUN / HANDICAP

Recommended Posts

This is my opinion and what I have see while cruising on the NCL SUN . This is the second part of a back to back with one more cruise. 3 cruises in all.

I feel that a handicap guests are  treated as a third rate guest.

The buffet has 35 - 40 handicap chairs

The handicap chairs are first come first serve. If a normal healthy guest gets to the seat before you .It's his seat.

The management will not police the handicap seating policy

I have written letters and have gotten nowhere

This is what I have observed.

Other non handicap guest telling other non handicap guest it's ok to sit in the handicap seat.

A 14 year boy sitting in a handicap table by himself.

A 22 year female using the handicap section by herself many times.

The female officers telling servers to clean the handicap tables for non handicap guests

From What I have observed you have about a 25% chance of getting a handicap seat and table.

In the past I brought the handicap problem up when We were on the NCL Jade. I was told "we don't want to bother guest that are seated.

Just goes to show they would rather make a handicap guest walk around looking for seat than police a handicap policy . The handicap tables and chairs are there .

Why have then if they're not going to use them for the reason.they were put there.

Regular health people are too lazy to walk 15 feet to get a table when the handicap tables are about 3 / 5 feet away.

The regular NCL servers in the buffet are great and caring..The gangway workers and officers are very helpful getting the guest on and off the ship.

On the first cruise one women would drop her husband off around 4:45 pm and pick him up a little before 9 pm.He would sleep.Great free care.

There are  also.many excuses.

My legs , I just had a stomach operation ,I'm old. No speak english..

But these people had no trouble getting their food.and drinks.

Also for your information  -The theater has only 8 handicap seats and 2 of them are behind a post .

In my opinion the management and officers on the NCL Ships could care less about the handicap guest.

I feel they would rather let non handicap sit in the handicap chairs to keep the peace and quiet and let the handicap guest stumble away to  find a seat

Most handicap people are soft spoken and nice .
