Kalynan Posted January 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2023 We have an Avis car rental return next month to the depot in Downtown Miami at 99 Southeast 2nd Street and then we're heading for NCL cruise from terminal B. Anyone with recent experience of transportation from the Avis depot to the port? Does Avis provide a shuttle service from there to the port? Can we get one of the Avis staff to drop us off at the port? Does Avis provide their Curbside Delivery Service to the port as well as airport? Would taxi or Uber be better? TIA

TIA Yes, We did this years ago with our family (10 total) and we are planning again in March. It was a little hectic, but it worked out fine. We were dropped right where we needed to be for our luggage.

Kalynan Posted January 21, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted January 21, 2023 NoShoes2..... Do you have to pre-book the drop-off at the port with the depot prior to arrival at downtown Miami? JohninDC.... Same question, do I have to arrange the shuttle with Avis before arrival at Miami? Thanks !!

Thanks !! I don’t believe that they take reservations. The shuttles run constantly during the peak drop off and pick time. We usually have to wait 15-20 minutes, but everyone is in a good mood because they are about to board a ship! We will likely build an hour into our schedule to arrive at the ship for our assigned check in time.
JohninDC Posted January 22, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 22, 2023 As mentioned above, just return the car and wait for the next shuttle. If this was a help you owe me a pint - do they still pour "heavy" at your local?
