We are going to Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. These are the excursions we are interested in doing: River Tubing in Belize, Stingray and Barrier Reef in Grand Cayman and Dune Buggies and Beach day at Cozumel and Costa Maya (can't decide which is best where). Please provide any information you have on good companies to go with for these excursions and where would you recommend we do the dune buggies and beach (really want a beach with toys, i.e. water trampoline, banana rides, etc.). Thank you very much. 31 days and counting until my trip on the Miracle:)

Well, we haven't gone yet - leaving 4/16 on the Miracle, but here's what we planned after doing hours of research on the boards:

Cave tubing in Belize with cave-tubing.com. $50 with lunch.

Stingray and reef tour in Grand Cayman with captainmarvins.com for $40

Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Tour in Costa Maya with chacchobenruins.com for $43

Paradise Beach hangout day in Cozumel. paradise-beach-cozumel.net They have an armband for $8 to allow use of the water toys, etc.

These were our choices based on many many user reviews on these boards along with what time the tours started. If you look in each of the ports of call boards, there are tons of threads on each excursion type.

Some other ones we looked at included:

Xtreme or Tom Greenwod's tour for cave tubing

Captain Bryan's, Moby Dick's, Soto's, or Nativeway for stingrays

Hope that helps you start your research

We went on the Miracle in December. When it came to Costa Maya, part of us went to the small town Majahual and the others stayed at the port swimming in the water and pool and shopping. It cost 5.00 round trip to the small town and everyone wants your business and gets quite perturbed if you go to the next guy and look. Some were really rude and told us to keep walking when we said we would pick up the item on the way back. I hope they change their attitude because it really turned us off this little town. If we ever go there again, we will just stay at the port shops and beach. And there was no advantage to shopping in the Majahual anyway, they all had the same stuff from the same company (even they told us that).

There were 3 ships in port that day and most people stayed at the port which was really crowded or took excursions since the town was pretty empty.

So its a good beach day but I didn't see any water activities there.

Have a wonderful trip. We loved the Miracle!
