Crazy4Travel Posted March 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2006 Can anyone confirm that you do not need a passport to enter Grand Caymen as a US citizen? The State Department website says that you do, but I called Royal Caribbean and they say that you don't. I want to believe Royal Caribbean, but I am a little paranoid. Does anyone who has traveled recently (like 2006) have any idea?
Sheffie Posted March 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2006 The State website, further in, says that if you are travelling by cruise ship you do NOT need a passport till Jan. 1, 2007. I am positive.

twinkletoes4445 Posted March 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2006 We flew there in January and didn't need a passport (but we already have them). I think the new passport travel deadline (at the end of this year), is the US requirements, not the country you are traveling to in the Caribbean.
