Venaia Tours on Guadeloupe

We had an excellent tour in Guadeloupe with Venaia Tours.  The website is Venaia.com.  Gallien took us to a waterfall, Montebello Rum Distillery, Deshaies Botanical Gardens and to Death in Paradise locations.  The gardens are beautiful.  We were lucky and the “Honore Police Station” was open to visit and we had a drink at Catherine’s Bar.  We also went to the beach where the shack is located but because the show was not filming the shack was not up.  It was difficult place to find a private tour but I hit the jackpot finding Gallien at Venaia Tours.  He was waiting for us when we got off the ship and returned us in plenty of time before sailing.  Payment was made at the end of the tour and it was very reasonable.  He has space for six people in his electric van.   Any  questions feel free to ask.

I have my sights on Guadeloupe! I was wondering if the driver speaks English.

Thanks,

Lisa

In case you're still following, yes he does.  We have him booked for Nov. 2023.  He has been very quick with email communication... in English.

I booked a private tour for one person with this company. They waited until two days before the tour to inform me that they overbooked. The only option they offered was to join another group of 5 people, however, even though I had just one person, I would be required to pay more than 50% of the price they originally quoted as they would divide the cost by the number of  groups rather than by the number of persons. When I questioned the change, they canceled my tour.

That's a shame. I had booked the tour for 2 couples.  He said his car seated 5 if it was a small person, then turned around and added 2 people to our tour but said he was just going to drop them somewhere.  I ended up cancelling but the other couple kept the tour and added another couple. I don't know how that worked out for them.

We ended up booking a ship tour (that was added closer to the cruise) that was called an Eco Adventure and went through the mangroves out to the bay to beautiful snorkeling and a tiny sand island.  We had an awesome time doing that.  The crew was just great.
