Eastern/Western Caribbean - when to cruise?

ANYTIME is a good time for cruising! Hurricane season-Schmuricane season is what I say! Weather is HOT in July, I can attest to that. They say the best time to go is November-February for optimum weather, but anytime on a cruise is a good time! As for going with kids, you are probably better off going during summer or Spring Break, holidays, etc., as there are more kids onboard during that time... although with year-round schools, that is becoming less of the case I would imagine. Either way, you will have a great time!

It's really really humid AND hot in the Western Carib in the summer IMHO... the eastern Caribbean gets more trade winds.. since I'm not into melting (although if the melting would take off 10 pounds permanently.... Carnival has Camp Carnival year round so your kids will have a ball whenever you go!

Trying to avoid September and October because of hurricane season and leaning towards Western Caribbean....Summer rates are usually too high anyway, so does anyone have advice on Western March thru May?
