Metropolitan or Soberania National Park

We would like to spend a couple of hours in one of these parks the day before our cruise. We are wondering whether it’s worth going further out to Soberania. Can we do an easy hike, about 90 mins and are we likely to see wildlife and birds? If we start at 10am, is this too late for the wildlife to be active? Thanks!

We stayed in Panama City after our PC cruise in January. Metropolitan is very easy to get to, and you will probably see wildlife there. I would suggest going in the morning; we went in the afternoon and most of the birds weren't out. Can't say much about Soberania or the other spots.

Our walk was about 2 hours total from the main parking lot to the top. The view was worth it! You may want to arrange a city tour with the local providers (I found ours on Viator). A private tour was reasonable in price, and we went to the Canal visitors center too.
