Naismith Posted February 11, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2023 Of course the thin print news digests that many ships offered in the Before Times went away..... But some cruise lines are giving pax free access to a national newspaper via their app. Does the NCL app offer access to USA Today, NYT or some other source to read during breakfast? Rare mking8288 Posted February 11, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2023 (edited) Short answer, no. NCL does not do that, never did in the old days when online access was via a Cat-5 portal link barely above dial-up speed, some 20 years ago and even then, it was not free. NCL's app is very basic and news isn't available. For live news coverage, go to your stateroom TV & find BBC World for current global news while at sea. If you have digital subscription(s) to NY Times, Wash. Post, etc. and other options like Google News, you can usually access or get a daily summary downloaded, with appropriate satellite WiFi access, at a nominal cost.
