kerota Posted February 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2023 I'm on Carnival Sunrise March 6 - March 11 and we will be at Grand Cayman on March 8. There are four other ships at Grand Cayman that day (Carnival Vista, Celebrity Edge, Norwegian Sky, Norwegian Prima). I've never been to Grand Cayman. With all those ships, how congested will the tender port be? Should I expect a long wait to get back to the ship? Thanks.
Guest BasicSailor Posted February 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2023 Yes indeed. Arrive back earlier to avoid some of the longer lines.
Theosprey247 Posted February 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2023 Expect long lines. The closer to departure the longer the lines.
Homosassa Posted February 15, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2023 There are two (three?) tender sites that are widely separated by cruise line. Inside those areas, there are lines for each ship. Depending on the passenger load for each ship (I.e.; you are cruising with 5,000 of your best friends vs 1,500). line length will vary for each cruise line and ship. In any case, try to be on line an hour before the last scheduled tender.
