Princess website - I have so many Member Numbers! Advice?

I will try not to be too long-winded, but I have had about three weeks of complete frustration. Hoping any of you more experienced Princess cruisers has advice. tldr will be at bottom.

So, never cruised before. First rookie mistake was booking through an online TA. (In my defense, I went to the only brick and mortar TA within 15 miles of my house and they seemed completely uninterested in helping me, which was confirmed by never receiving a call or email after I left the office)

When booking there was never a prompt for member ID, so I assumed I would "link itinerary to account" as I've done for flights. So, I created an account on princess.com, but I was never able to see a spot to link my booking. When I logged in as "booked guest" I could see my cruise info, but not my member number anywhere. I called princess and they sent me my confirmation which had a completely different member ID (which was not on my confirmation from the TA). I called to have the booking switched to the member account created, but Princess said the TA had to do that. The TA said Princess had to do it.

After two weeks of the back and forth I finally get them to make the change in collaboration with each other (I guess?) Only problem is when I log in to get my member number, the site is so screwy that it makes you register again. I now had a third member number assigned! This doesn't even seem like it should be possible because I have used the same "User ID" to login/register each time.

I am now beyond frustrated because I just want to go on the cruise, see and use my OBC which doesn't show up under my "booked guest" info from what I can see, send in stockholder OBC request, and earn my loyalty and whatever points I will earn from the casino. I'm sure I will enjoy the cruise, but it should not be this diffcult to manage a loyalty account.

TLDR; does anyone know how to login to account to stop getting assigned a new member number and to ensure your booking is on your loyalty account.

Thanks, in advance. Sorry if my frustration is seeping through too much.

Sorry for your frustration.  The first issue is never try to link a booking, it will also want you to register if you don’t find a booking.

You need your extra account deleted. This can be done by Princess.  Make sure they keep the account that your TA and Princess show for your booking.

If the TA and Princess combined your 1st and 2nd captain circle member ID then it should show your member number on the website under your account.

You must know your login if you are logging in and can see “booked guests”and click on that.

Look near the top of the page, click on “Account.”

That will show your name and

account number…jot that down.

Now, if you have another loyalty number because you registered again, you can call Princess and tell them you want to keep only the one that they and the TA have.  That number should be appended to your booking.

Call Princess in the morning after 6 am PT when they open to get, hopefully a more experienced rep.  They CAN correct this…as this is an error on their website asking you to reregister and link.

Do not try to link.

TYVM for the response. I will follow up with them again on Friday when I have the time to sit on the phone with them during their business hours.

Good luck with this. The same thing happened to me. I signed up for a princess account AFTER putting a cruise on hold. EVERY time I log in, it gives me a new account number.

I have contacted support four times. EVERY time they assure me it's fixed, and not to log on to the site for 48 hours. This morning, after not logging in for two weeks, it's the same crap.

Never cruised with princess before and this is a god awful first impression.

I haven't spoken to them yet. I looked at my booking and it is now under my third member number...I think I have a total of 4 🤦‍♂️. So, that's progress.

But, I agree, it's a terrible experience and first impression. To create an account, but not be able to log into it is absurd, especially since it's been like this since at least Jan 1st when I booked.

That being said, I'm less ornery about it now and am just glad I'm cruising in 47 days.

This can be corrected by calling Princess or using the chat feature.  Let them know you have multiple captain circle numbers and want them merged so you only have 1 number.  The agents are trained to merge all the history onto the oldest number and delete the other duplicates but you can give them the captain circle number on your booking and ask to have that be your assigned number.

The reason Princess is saying the TA needs to contact them is because the TA manages the booking itself so if you reference a specific booking they will want the TA to contact them. The TA can’t fix the number on their end but they can contact Princess for you and ask to have the numbers all merged to the one on your booking.

To prevent this in the future once you register on Princess.com you use your email and the password you selected to log in.  Don’t repeatedly register, that’s what issues the new numbers 😄

If you don’t want to log in directly you can access your booking by using your name, DOB and booking number.   Click on booked guests, then click access Cruise Personalizer, that will bring you to a screen to enter that information.

Thanks. They did work together and change the booking (after 4 calls where both sides said they couldn't do anything). I will call this week to hopefully get the additional accounts deleted.

The problem I run into is every time I login, I get the register page and I can't bypass it. I guess I will just refrain from going to the main site for now, but isn't that where I would see my OBC?

Thanks for the advice. I am not as dumb as this situation is making me look, I swear! 🤣🤣

You can still see your account by signing in using your name, Dob and booking number.

@Shelly97060very clearly described what to do and I would do that during the week during normal business hours.  PCL can do that for you, don’t let them tell you they can’t.

Never register again and never use the link button shown.  Totally confusing your booking.

Once this is corrected, you should be able to sign in using your username and password on the website and the downloaded App.

I've contacted them four times (three times on the phone, one time via online chat). Each time they have allegedly merged my captain's circle numbers and told me to wait 48 hours before logging in again. Each time, after waiting at least 48 hours (this last time, I waited about 350 hours -- over two weeks), a brand new captain's circle number is created for me. Each time I log in, I have to verify my account, which my theory is what creates the new captain's number. I've told them all of this on every call.

I am beyond frustrated. I should be able to log in and see my cruise. Not enter my full name and booking number each time. I'm at the point where I'm thinking of canceling the cruise it's so frustrating. I do know if it doesn't get fixed this week, I'll never cruise with Princess again. It's beyond dumb.
