Riu or M Social

My daughter and I are staying in NYC for 2 nights before a cruise and have never been before. We have our hotels narrowed down to RIU Manhattan Times Square or M Social. They are similar in price and both have Times Square views. RIU is newer and has queen beds but a smaller room. M Social is older and has larger rooms with double beds. Any opinions on which might be better? Thanks in advance!

We are staying at the RIU manhattan Times Square. It has a great location and good value for the price, by NYC standards.  We stayed in Riu plaza in Barcelona and thought it was a nice hotel.  I don't know anything about the M Social.
