Overnight stop in Shanghai - Stay on Disney property?

Our cruise has a two day stop in Shanghai (8am to 6PM the next day). We plan on maximizing our time at the Disney Parks and are considering booking a room on disney properties versus going back on the ship for the night.

 

- Has anyone done this? Any experiences to share?

- Is this even doable? Do we need to return to the ship overnight?

 

Any tips and tricks to make this a smooth experience?
