Type of metal detectors in Seattle cruise port

My mother has a medication pump inserted in her side to relief pain from cancer and has issues with the detectors that do the magnetic check ( where you stand and put your hands up) . After she leaves the magnetic type sensors, she says that her pump programming changes. I don't know, I cant tell of course. She is fine with the walk through metal detectors. Does anyone know what type of detectors Seattle cruise port uses?

Your mom can opt out of the regular walk-thru metal detector and use the ADA line where a female security staff member can do  a pat down.  This is the method for anyone using the ADA line.  She would have to explain that she has the medication pump and the security staff member will be very respectful of her medical device.

If her doctors can provide a note as a backup, but I doubt the security personnel would ever question your mom.  ADA line would be best for her, but se needs to be mentally prepared for the pat down, they can really get into your hidden parts.
