mom2mms Posted March 20, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2023 I am planning my first cruise for Dec '24. There will be 2 people flying in and 2 people that live in Houston. Right now the plan is to come in Saturday morning and then go to the cruise Sunday morning. I'm not sure who they will be flying with and not sure how air2sea prices are (it will be right before Christmas). The 2 people that live in Houston are close to IAH (about 5 miles). I'm thinking that it would be best if we took the RCL shuttle but I'm not sure how it would work with the travel situation. I was thinking about an Uber or a Lyft but my mom stresses over little things so I'm not sure what the best option is. Thank you for any help. Are you asking if you can all take the shuttle, or just those flying in? We recently did a repositioning cruise from Galveston and parked at IAH for our return. We had booked Galveston Express which worked well. While waiting for our shuttle my husband did talk to the Royal shuttle desk out of curiosity. He was told you had to fly in to use their shuttle. I am not sure how they would monitor that and it would have been more expensive. The other factor was a lot of people were sitting around waiting whereas we were able to reserve our shuttle for a set time. Also, Galveston Express picks up directly from some of the airport hotels.
