CruiseFirst with Casino Free Cruise Cert?

Hi all! I searched the forums here and the FAQ on NCL but I can't find the answer:

If I have a certificate for a free cruise from my local land casino, can I use the CruiseFirst certificate to pay towards the fees? The CruiseFirst does say it can't be combined with certain things "CruiseFirst certificates are not combinable with CruiseNext, chartered sailings, employee discounts, friends and family pricing, Sailaway, interline and travel agent rates." but none of these apply?

you absolutely can.  I'm leaving on a cruise on April 1st, and I did just this.  I always use either a cruisenext or cruisefirst to know off more $$$ on an already cheap cruise.  If only they would get rid of the admin fee...... 🙂

I'll also add that if the value of the cert ($500 cruisefirst) is more than the total you owe, you lose the extra value.  So if you need to, add something at booking (pre-paid DSC, dining package, etc) to make sure your final bill is at least the cert amount.  This is usually not a problem with the $300 cruisefirst as it's pretty hard to be under $300 with the admin fee and taxes/port fees
