realtorron Posted March 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2006 Holiday Inn port Of Miami. Bayside Marketplace is across the street and if you request a room facing the port you may be able to see your ship come in. Here are links for both.:) http://baysidemarketplace.com http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/miabb

beachlady58 Posted March 11, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2006 Marriott across from the pier is very popular. I prefer to stay at Sheraton Bal Harbour which is awesome, not close but $25 cab ride. Great pool and a great way to start a vacation. If you go there go to Cafe Regattzi for dinner. Have fun!:D
SuzieTrue Posted March 11, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 11, 2006 Don't wait to book something near the pier, they do fill quickly.
BobBeaSea Posted March 11, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2006 They fill up fast, as others have said, book as soon as you can especially if you are sailing in Florida's prime tourist season. Standard room rates for this time of year are 30% higher than last year, if our hotel (Radisson-downtown) is any indication.
rrshinn Posted March 11, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 11, 2006 We've stayed twice at the Intercontinental before our cruises. Excellent hotel within walking distance to Bayside Market Place and they have an excellent brunch. Cheap cab ride to the cruise terminal. Book online at Intercontinental Hotels. Cruising89143 Posted March 11, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 11, 2006 I second the Marriott Biscayne Bay. Great view of the port from the bayview rooms.
glgolfer Posted March 11, 2006 #10 Share Posted March 11, 2006 Just be advised the $110.78 rate on the Holiday Inn web site in October is nonrefundable. We booked it for October for $128 which can be canceled until 1800 the day of arrival. Don't know if any of the other hotels are the same, but it would be a good idea to check unless you know for sure you won't need to cancel. Alexis Posted March 12, 2006 #11 Share Posted March 12, 2006 You might want to try this one. It is very popular and fills up fast. Holiday Inn Marina Park is the closest hotel to the piers. It is directly across from the famous Bayside Marketplace that has many restaurants and shops for a nice place to spend some time. It is a reasonable hotel that is kept clean and neat. No beach though, just a pool. I have stayed there and will stay there again in September. It fills up fast, so don't wait too long to book if you are interested.;) http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/6c/...iabb?irs=null& If you join their Priority Club, you save a discount on the room right away. Here is the Bayside Marketplace site you can see also. www.baysidemarketplace.com
Karencruiser43 Posted March 12, 2006 #12 Share Posted March 12, 2006 We stayed at the Best Western. It was wonderful and very clean. Would definitely stay there again. It was practically on the beach. When you walked outside the hotel, there was the boardwalk and then the ocean. It was fabulous. We had about a 15-20 min ride to the pier.
