Another Luau question.

Well 30 days and counting for our Pride of Am Easter Week Cruise and thanks to all the help I have received from these boards I am almost finished with my trip plan. It would seem that on Maui or Kauai we will have time for a Luau.

Any suggestions. My girls are 16 and 18. Nothing overdone but I think it is important that they experience a Hawaii Luau and not sudo-luaus we have here on the Mainland. We will have a car while on both islands. Thanks for all your help.

From what everything I've read and been told, the best luau on Maui is the Old Lahaina Luau. On Kauai, it might make a difference which night you are there. One of the best (and we've been to this one) is the Sheraton Coconut Beach Luau. It's not as 'traditional' as the Maui one, but the entertainment was nice and the overview of Ploniesian history was good. Eye candy was equally yummy at both. Hope this helps!

We did the Old Lahainia Luau in February and it was excellent. A little pricey at $89 and you have to pick a designated driver. Food was great as were drinks. Know the cruiseline has a huge Luau excursion and people seemed to like it, but maybe others could post on that one.
