Grand Princess - Cabins A746 and L306

Can anyone give me details of either of these 2 cabins?  We are set to sail in September, to Alaska, and these are the 2 rooms we have.  Some of our fellow travelers have a balcony room so no worries there.  Just wondered about the difference between these 2 in terms of size (they are both Oceanview rooms).

Also, Grand Princess vs Caribbean Princess ship.  They look to be the same floor plan.

Welcome to Cruise Critic! If you go to the Princess website and click on On Board Our Ships, then Deck Plans, then choose the ship, you can find the following info. A746 is 168 sq ft and has a porthole. L306 is 206 sq ft and has a floor to ceiling window. I've not been in either room. Also, you probably know that A746 faces aft. L306 is near the bow. So they are at opposite ends of the ship.

We were in A734 last month. The balcony is smaller than some but the location is hard to beat. A few steps and you are at a door to the Terrace pool.  another short flight and you are at the Terrace bar and access to the Buffet.   We have booked that cabin again for next year.   Our cruise was South Pacific.  Don't know how much use you'd get of pool in Alaska but in warmer climates it is perfect.

We got ,married on the Caribbean and have cruised on the Grand several times.  I would choose the Grand.  While is is older, it has been kept in good shape.  While the plans look similar, the Caribbean has one extra passenger deck, adding about 500 passengers and the resulting crowding.  .  The Grand has Alfredos, an excellent included indoor pizza restaurant.  The Grand also has an indoor pool for cool or rainy days.  The one advantage of the Caribbean is that tis has Skywalkers Nightclub, an excellent indoor viewing lounge.
