okacruise Posted April 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2023 Hey all, this is our first time cruising and we are planning to go northbound Alaska cruise in Sep on Majestic Princess. We wanted to stay in a mini suite since the price is similar to deluxe balcony rooms, and from reading from all the reviews on this board everyone recommend stay in room on the starboard side since it is going northbound. On top of that we are traveling with a 3 year old, so just in case he get overwhelmed with the crowd, at least we can stay in our room and enjoy the view. However there aren't much mini-suites remaining thats on starboard. The only options we have is E711 - E725 on Emerald deck 8 aft above the vista gaming lounge, or M317 - M327 on Marina deck15 right below the hot pool. We are light sleepers so we are worried about the bass from the lounge at night, but also is worried about the deck chairs moving in the morning on deck16 just above our room. Moreover from looking at the photos the balcony on M317-M327 has the Lido deck extending quite far out, thus blocking part of the view at the top and you will definitely get it in your pictures. Any suggestion what to do? Or should we book a deluxe balcony room on a different deck with cabin above and below us?
okacruise Posted April 26, 2023 Author #2 Share Posted April 26, 2023 bumping this. Does anyone has experience staying in those cabins?
erienetuser Posted April 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2023 If I'm reading it right, CruiseMummy says you should avoid both of these cabins.
