Paris Metro/RER

Are there any plans in the near future for the Metro/RER to upgrade their systems to allow payment with contactless cards or a phone app?

 

The only thing I see right now is one must use/swipe a Navigo card or old fashion ticket.

We were just in Paris and I do know they'd like to move to that via my Parisienne friend. I did see people putting their phones on the readers but not sure if it was a Navago digital card or a phone app.
