Beaches without climbing?

I know that some of the best beaches in Bermuda require walking up or down steep hills, with or without stairs, to get to them from the road or bus stop.

 

Are there any beaches that could be enjoyed by someone with knee/hip problems, thus unable to manage many stairs or a steep incline? If so, where?

You can go to Horseshoe Bay if you take a cab/scooter as it will take you down the hill so no climbing is needed.

 

John Smith's Bay, located in Smith's parish, has a small incline much shorter than the others. Take the #1 bus to get to it.

 

The beaches in St. Georges (Tobacco Bay, Achilles Bay etc.) do not have inclines and if you are in St. Georges you can take a cab or a shuttle service to them.

We had no problem getting a taxi back from Horsehoe Bay Beach last June. There always seem to be some waiting there for pax.

Last year there was a guy doing rides up and down the hill for a dollar at Horseshoe, I assume he’ll be back this year.

Clearwater Beach and Park, Cooper's Island, off St. David's Island, is a 36 acre public park site. It was re-opened to the public on May 24, 1996 after 54 years as a US military reserve. It has nature trails, playground equipment and views of some outer islands reserved for wildlife. Adjacent is Turtle Bay (public), outside the now closed NASA station, also outstanding, but like Clearwater, not on a bus route.

The Turtle Bay Catamarran Excursions out of SG on Rising Son II goes to this private island which has the most pristine sand I have ever found anywhere in the world - like talculm poweder. This is the best cat excursion and easily the best excursion in Bermuda.
