Ubigi esim

My wife and I will be going on an Asian cruise, Singapore to Tokyo. Stops in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan.

Ubigi offers a "Best Asia" that seems to cover all the stops.

Has anyone tried Ubigi esim?

My friend used an Ubigi esim for a land trip to Japan and worked well for him.  It was good enough that he recommended that I get one of their esims for my cruise in Europe next month.  

 

Let me know if you want a referral code and I'll private message you.  My friend gave me his referral code and it's supposed to provide 20% off the first purchase while the person providing the code gets 50% (?) off their next purchase.  I haven't bought my esim yet as I was going to buy it closer to my departure date.

Just a quick follow up on this.  

FWIW, while I realize the original question relates to Asia, I'm just in the last few hours of using the Ubigi esim for my Italy-Greece trip/cruise and it performed well overall in all locations except one island (Zakynthos) where I needed to roam on my home carrier. 

Would buy again for an international trip.
