need to rent car after cruise

Our next cruise is in Dec. out of Port Everglades. I'm thinking about flying into Ft. Lauderdale but flying out of Orlando. We want to go up and check out the Christmas decorations at WDW, we have annual passes so going up for a day or two is not a big deal. Where would be the closest or easiest place to rent a car from? What would be the easiest way to get to the car rental place also? Thanks!

Budget is right across from the entrance where you go into the Princess terminal - next door to the Renaissance Marriott. That is who we are using.

Thrifty also has a location right at the entrance to the port.

You can easily take a taxi or walk to either location.

I know that Budget will let you drop a car at another FL location without a drop fee. Not sure about Thrifty.

if you are member of Costco they have discounts with Budget - you must pick up the card at one of their location's. It will give you the discount code.
