bethaniesmom Posted March 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2006 probably been asked a thousand times, but just like the announcements on board about future booking, I never paid attention until it pertained to me... just curious, what are the advantages to booking onboard if you think you have already picked out your next cruise....we are planning on enjoying the Zenith and may want to do a longer cruise next winter.. Ships R Great Posted March 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2006 Mainly, the onboard credit. from $50 to $200 per cabin depending on the length of the cruise. BTW, you will love the Zenith. She is a real jewel.
CRUZBUDS Posted March 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2006 We booked on board last year. It seemes like a good deal - It's hard too find really killer prices anymore so the credit is nice. You can change your booking to another date or even between RCCL and Celebrity. Your T/A still gets credit for the booking. Last year on the Mecury they didn't have any RCCL brochures. We were told by the booking department that there was no charge in the computer room for viewing RCCL's website - the computer people hadn't gotten the memo on that. In seven weeks we'll be sailing the Mercury again and we'll be armed with a calender (the day of departure can be important to us) and brochures of the cruises we're interested in. For a 10 day cruise we get a $200 pre-booking credit along with our $200 shareholder credit. It's nice to check your account on the TV as see that $400. :) It doesn't last long ;)
Longboysfan Posted March 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2006 Book early and onboard to get the cruise credit $$$. You can always turn the booking over to your TA. You can always switch the far away cruise that you got the cruise credit on to another cruise and retain the cruise credit $$$. Lowest prices are when you book early.
