Question for non-smokers who have cruised on the VICTORY

We will be cruising on a ship that allows smoking for the first time.

I would like to find out from non-smokers where the non-smoking areas are on the VICTORY.

I know about the dining rooms, and the main lounge.

Is there anywhere else on the ship that is designated non-smoking?

Thanks so much in advance. I'm looking forward to cruising on what many of you have described as a fabulous ship!

The shows are all non smoking also.

There are non smoking areas in the casino I think, but it will still bother you. Unfortunately, you have to go through the casino to get to most places.

I am a smoker, but I am very considerate of people that sit by me that do not smoke. I know that sometimes you could smell cigarettes in the hallway if someone was smoking in their room.

Also it used to be that only one side of the outside decks were considered "smoking areas" I don't know if they enforce this or not.

I am a former smoker that now has problems with smoke. You can forget the casino. Very thick in there. I love to gamble but it was too much so I decided to wait untill I got home to do my betting. no problem though as there are many things to do on ship and many clear areas to do them in. I agree, if you're at all sensitive to smoke then stay out of the casino.

In addition to what was noted above there is usually one side of the ship, I want to say the port side, that is non- smoking in the public areas.

Since I quit smoking I've been fine with most all areas other than the casino and bars

Happy Cruising

just returned from Victory...consider ANY outside areas { RE near and at the pool} smoking areas...with the wind blowing across deck, it wasn't a problem. All the bars, save one allow smoking, as in the casino....your cabin....otherwise, halls and everywhere else was no smoking.

have fun, and TRY not to worry about the smoke...

I'm a light smoker and I think the thing that saves me some money is when I go to the casino and have to leave because of the smoke!

I think most smokers follow the rules and are considerate. I don't mind at all when a guy is smoking a pipe though! I love the smell of a nice pipe tobacco. Hate the smell of cigars though and when we go to ports that sell Cuban cigars many Americans just love to get them and smoke them just for the "thrill" of it. Those things stinnnkkkk!

When I was on the Victory, the whole thing was smoking. There is a no smoking policy in the dinning room and shows. But, people were smoking in all other aeas of the ship, including halls and lobbies waiting for elevators. There was one table of 8 or 10, the guy was smoking and holding the cig under the table cloth when the waiter came by. We caught the table cloth and the girlfriend/wife put it out. We told the waiter and asked to change tables. I don't think they showed up most nights, couldn't go that long without smoking I guess.

I don't smoke in halls, but I don't think they are considered NON-SMOKING.

Live well, love much, laugh often.

We were on the Victory few months ago, our first smoking ship experience and it was not bad at all. I hate the smell so I notice it easily. Rarely a problem outside. The one problem we did find was smoke odor in our room, closet and drawers. Luckily we brought along a bottle of Febreze. A few sprays and the REMOVAL of the smoky robes and our room was fine. Enjoy!
