Lord Haw Haw Posted June 3, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2023 Am I wrong in thinking that something may be amiss in the description Explora is giving for the ports in the Caribbean? From the below list of ports Deshaies and Quepos are the only ones requiring a tender? Any advice would be appreciated. Miami USA Key West USA Spanish Town Virgin Gorda Gustavia St Barths St John Antigua and Barbuda Deshaies Guadeloupe Soufriers St Lucia Bequia St Vincent and the Grenadines Bridgetown Barbados Roseau Dominica Willemstad Curaco Oranjestad Aruba Cartagena Columbia Puerto Limon Costa Rica Panama City Panama Quepos Costa Rica San Jan Del Sur Nicaragua Puerto Quetzal Mexico Puerto Mexico Cabo San Lucas Mexico San Diego Mexico Los Angles USA
daleandrews Posted June 3, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2023 Can't comment on all of the ports, but based on past cruises we have taken a tender will likely be used in Gustavia where piers accommodate large yachts but seldom cruise ships. Tenders will almost certainly be used in Bequia and Soufriers, which (unless things have changed) have no docking for ships larger than yachts. I think that is likely true for Spanish Town also. 2
ctjon Posted June 3, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2023 There are also times when several ships are in port and all the docks maybe taken so tenders may be required.
