Please explain casino discount/comp cruises

I've gotten some mail from Princess telling me that I'm eligible for discounted cruises, but when I logged on I never found any. A few weeks ago I was searching for Alaska cruises and a bunch of them came up as $0 (they are now a little higher). I searched Europe and transatlantic cruises and most of them are not discounted, but a few are, and the discounts are pretty substantial, as in $800 for a solo stateroom instead of $2,800. They aren't exactly the cruises I want to take, but they look fun.

The discounted prices just appear as regular prices, and not as part of any special search. I know they are discounted because I've looked at them without logging in. At this point, my attitude is to just book it if it seems like a good deal and play as much or as little as I want. At a land-based casino, I make an effort to have a reasonable level of play for comp rooms, but Princess isn't even telling me that I am getting a discount; it's just there. Can anyone with experience explain exactly what is going on? FWIW, I did spend a good bit of time in the casino on my last Princess cruise, but it was mostly playing low stakes for an hour or so most days, just because the odds and paytables were so awful.

I've received casino offers and discounted casino pricing.  Here's what I can tell you based on my experience.  I booked on-line once without any princess or travel agent and I saw a casino credit appear on my portfolio once booked.  This actually surprised me as I wasn't expecting any casino credit and was pleased with the amount ($300).    Another time I got my spreadsheet going and determined my room and cost, but phoned princess directly.  Without mentioning 'Casino' the agent saw i was eligible, and my room costs went considerably down (but could have been because i'm elite status) and I had a casino credit.  So in the future - if i'm wondering about a casino credit, I will call Princess and book with their agent directly.

From my experience my totally comped cruises (princess plus included) mini suites 750 to 1000 casino credit must be booked thru casino dept. The offers I see in my on line offers are good but casino offers are great.

Not sure of other offers but my comped cruise gets paid thru the casino dept. You can see the payment go thru a few weeks before sailing. Until then I can get emails saying Pay for your cruise' kinda thing

You can now book  comped  cruises through Princess.com as long as they aren’t come back and Sail.

Your offers are listed  in your personalizer under credits

I should have mentioned come back and sail. Thanks for the reminder!
