Rough seas?? British Isles/W Europe

Hi. We are considering the Golden Princess aug 30 cruise for British Isles and W. Europe.

My wife and I will be travelling with my 83 yr old in-laws and my 83 yr old father.

 

Can anyone tell me how if the seas are especially rough that time of year and how a N. Sea cruise like this would compare to others.

 

My mother in law is especially concerned.

The North Sea has a fearsome reputation, but mostly for winter storms. During the middle of the summer, it's just the normal pot luck like any other stretch of open sea.
