Priority boarding: Only Platinum / Elite Guest or anyone in same cabin?

I feel it comes down to the wording.
Elite status gives you priority boarding not priority check-in.

Yea, that priority check in line seems to have vanished.

It's now first come, first to get in the terminal.(at least in Florida)

Without Priority Check in...... What use is the Elite Lounge and priority Boarding?

Youre stuck in the line with Everybody else.  Sometimes hours long....

As Elite, youve done Check ins Many times more than others, and can Check in faster.

We don't usually hold up the line, like the newbies.... theres a big difference.

Not having Priority Check In?   Is another downgrade, IMO.
