38anchor Posted July 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2023 We are sailing on celebrity Beyond in November - 4 x adults and are looking to do Dunns River Falls. From everything I have read it looks like the ships tour is the easiest and safest way. If we were to kook the cheapest option - Independent Exploration: Dunn's River Falls - does anyone know if we can just get a guide when we get there to take us up the falls? Thanks in advance x
Capt_BJ Posted July 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2023 yes you can .... at least you could the last time I went ... note that the falls are just part of the national park at Dunns River. Technically climbing the falls is 'free' .... included when you pay for a full day's admission to the park. The guides work for tips and are not required altho if you've never climbed the falls b4, not a terrible idea. the guide wil keep you on the 'tourist path' I don't use guides - been many times since 1986 .... we go up the middle see the folks on left side? They are a cruise ship tour following a guide .... ditto the hand holding queue behind us ...
