Tip or Not To Tip?

Recommended Posts

We went to the main dining room on the first night of the cruise but seems we will be dining the rest of the cruise at The Windjammer.

Is it still necessary to tip the head waiter, the assistant waiter and the maitrya d at the main dining room if we are not eating there?

Your quick responses will be greatly appreciated since we are in mid cruise!

Are you suggesting not tipping your DR waitstaff? ? ? They rotate duty also in the Windjammer and the gormet bites late night all over the ship and the Gala Buffet. They work very long hours to serve you seven days a week.

I would say yes to tipping the waiter and asst waiter but unless the head waiter does anything special for you and the matried (spelling) does something for you Leave them out.

We just got off a cruise (14th) and our head waiter was no where to be found, things he would normally do he did not
