Does anyone know if there is a charge to drop off a Hertz rental car at the terminal in Galveston on a Sunday?? This will let me decide if we want to rent a car. Thanks for any info!!;)

If you're dropping your rental car off at Hertz on a Sunday, the agency is actually closed (go figure) but they have a drop box for the keys. It's at the Hertz agency on Avenue L in Galveston. Then you'll have to take a taxi (around $12) back to the pier. We're visiting family in San Antonio pre- cruise, renting a car and dropping it off in Galveston on the day of our cruise. A small one way fee was included in our total ($111 total charge) for picking up in San Antonio and dropping off in Galveston but I'm not sure if they charge from Houston since it seems to be a common thing to do. Some other agencies actually let you drop off in a secure lot at the Pier. Hertz just isn't one of them. Good Luck!
