Special warning to Brits using Carnival

Be careful if you have a repayable credit on you S&S card it is only paid by CHEQUE and NOT repaid to your CC. We had a credit by virtue of a tour being cancelled, was sent a dollar cheque which is difficult and costly to get rid of in the UK. That is apart from them also promising to return $300 for something else, which has never arrived. We were on the ill-fated Pride in July and still trying to sort out the financial mess that carnival gave to us. Promised refunds, but did not tell us how it was calculated, or where it might be paid and when disputed won't speak to us only to Tavel Advisor who had been told zilch and therefore not surprisingly objected.
