DVD Player in Royal Suites on Infinity

Ok...I have searched for this and get conflicting info and posts from back in 2004, so Im going to ask it straight out:

Has anyone recently stayed aboard Infinity in a Royal Suite? If you have, can you tell me if the room had a VCR or a DVD player? Yes, I know the X website states that the room has a VCR. As we all know there are little inconsistancies (not a bad thing, just a fact) in regards to making a blanket statement about "M" class ammenities, etc. and I want to go to the source...a guest who has occupied one of these suites aboard Infinity recently. Id like to bring some movies and a great video about the Panama Canal (we are taking the 2 April 2006 westbound PanCanal voyage) for us to enjoy as we cruise.

Any help anyone can provide would be most appreciative!

We were in a Royal Suite - 6133 - on the Constellation and it had a DVD. Wish I had taken a few DVD's from home as the TV selections on Celebrity are pretty bad. Let's see, Ozzie & Harriet, Dick Van Dyke & Mary Tyler Moore, Burns & Allen. Between the reruns and Celebrity's stations selling tours and promoting the shops on board, we found ourselves spending more time at the Martini Bar. Maybe that's what they want us to do!

They Royal Suite is lovely and service wonderful. I felt guilty wanting to have breakfast at the buffet and dine in the San Marco.

  • 4 weeks later...

Well folks, as of April 2006 I can report that Infinity still has Sony VCR's in the Royal Suites and not DVD players. Not a big deal, but it is what it is! The good news was that the VCRs had video in jacks that I could hook up digital camera upto, allowing me to review my photos on the plasma screen tv.

Thanks!
