Kagoshima car rental

We booked a car from Toyota car rental using Tocoo car rental site.

To our surprise, the car was waiting for us at the pier.  We were going to take a taxi or walk 30minutes to Tokai rental shop as we didn't know they were bringing the car to the pier for us.  Make sure you book the car from the Tokai shop, the closest to the port.  You need your International driver license ( we got it from AAA ), driver license, and passport.

 

We took the car to the Sakurajima Ferry terminal and rode the Ferry to the Sakurajima and drove all the way around stopping at few interesting sites. We even had time left to stop at the Sengan-en on the way back.

 

If you are comfortable driving in Japan, its a good way to spend a day in Kagoshima.
