bbyost Posted June 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2004 My FIL /MIL are cruising with us in Jan. on the Legend. They normally cruises on HAL and get the owner/penthouse suite(1000 sq. ft.) because of FIL's claustrophobia. He can't even sit in the back seat of car! The largest cabin on Legend is 370 sq. ft. plus balcony. He's hoping he'll be okay. Can someone who has been in a level 12 cabin give me an idea how roomy they are? aggieastrosfan Posted June 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2004 It's not the Legend, but I've got pics below of a cat 12 on the Elation. Our cabin was about 400 sq. ft., including the balcony. Think of it as about the size of a large hotel room. Plus, it's still a suite, which means the sleeping area is separate from the sitting area, which to me, makes the room seem bigger because there's different rooms that sort of "flow" together. Art123 Posted June 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 8, 2004 My DW is also claustrophobic and finds that a taking a small fan to blow some air on her face really helps her out a lot.
LornaT Posted June 8, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 8, 2004 And don't forget all the windows and balcony aught to make it easier on them. Tell them to bring the Bungee cord mentioned on these boards so often and hook the door to the balcony open.
bjkeen Posted June 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 8, 2004 If he can't manage in a level 12 then he is up the creek. Level 12 is the largest cabin avail. The other cruise lines have smaller cabins than Carnival. bbyost Posted June 9, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted June 9, 2004 Thanks everyone! I'll send him the 360 pics and that should make him feel better. This is a free cruise(incentive trip) so we don't have a choice on the cruise line or ship. I'm really looking forward to sailing with Carnival again after 25 years!
