Back to RCCL after a 15 year hiatus... what can you tell me about the D1 CAT.

Cruised serveral times with RC in the early 90's... even found out I was Platium, today.........would I be happy in this room with 3 people?

Our last two RCCL cruises were in D1's. The most recent 9576 larger hump balcony on the Brilliance. Last year we had a D1 more towards the aft. Only difference not on the hump and a smaller balcony. We loved both cabins. Plenty of storage space. Luggage under the bed, shelves every where, little nooks and corners to put stuff. TV pulled out a little from it's shelf and on a swivel, to face the couch or the bed. The bath room had plenty of shelves. The shower has a curtain and soap and shampoo dispensers. There is a safe. Ask your attendant to remove all the goodies in the little fridge (unless you wanna use and pay for those things). It's not the best fridge, but it'll keep your juices cool and a sandwich overnight. We liked our D1's. Next up, a JS on the Grandeur. We'll see how much different that is from the D1.

with almost $1000 difference in price, my TA got us 9256 on Jewel for the 5/14 European/Baltic cruise (2 weeks). It has a wrap around balcony, termed AFT CORNER. Over 100 sq ft of balcony with the almost 200 sq ft room. We got it also for Freedom's 10/15 cruise. Both ship's bathrooms have shower doors, no curtain hugging you as you shower.
