I would strongly urge you to get a prescription mask & bring it along with your own personal snorkel. There is no way I would use anyone else's snorkel! Go to a dive shop about the mask. Sure you will pay more but having a well fitted mask that fits you is very important. I recommend going to a dive shop BEFORE ordering a prescription mask or lens. That way you can be sure the mask fits properly (no leaks) before ordering the prescription inserts. Many dive shops can order and install the prescription inserts for you. If you order the prescription masks through an online service without confirming the fit, you could end up with a leaking mask that you can't use. The lens inserts generally cannot be removed and placed in another mask without lens damage. This is from personal experience....

TravelingShaw Posted July 27 #78 Share Posted July 27 Hi Shiba, Thank you so much for all the important and useful information. I am going on this exact trip and getting very close to doing my packing. I am trying to get more information about the day we go to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. From what I have read dinner on the Belmond Hiram Bingham train is a very nice white tablecloth experience that should be dressed nicely for. However, it is right after touring and hiking in Machu Picchu. From the itinerary it does not appear that there is any opportunity to change and freshen up. Do you just go dinner in the clothes you have been hiking in or do they provide a place to leave extra clothes and change. You had mentioned that a lot of people wear there touring clothes to dinner on the ship. Is it the same in restaurants on the land portion? Thank you for any info.
