Rare Keith1010 Posted November 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2023 A new enhancement added to the Crystal website is offers with a tab towards the top. In fact, it includes offers of 5% discount on selected sailings mentioned in an e-mail from Crystal earlier today. I know. Some of you probably got it and others don't but it is all on the website. Happy Cruising. Keith
History&Wine Posted November 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2023 One of the tabs is for solo fares. But when one investigates, you will find that the fares listed are for double occupancy. One is instructed to call to find solo fares. Seriously? Not impressed.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 16, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted November 16, 2023 I had mentioned that towards the top of the Crystal website you can see offers. In addition, if you click o find a cruise a new filter is offers. So you could click on find a cruise, 2024 and filters and find all the cruises with offers or click on find a cruise, 2024, put in a specific month(s) or any other filers you want and also utilize the offers filter to narrow down the cruises to those with offers. Yet another way to find cruises. Keith

Yeah, it’s been that way for months with that promo…. I don’t love it, but without a booking engine to calculate those fares on the pages like other companies do it, there is no halfway accurate way that information is going to pull in for every category on every voyage just from the content management system. They would literally have to build out fake promo fare tables for every single voyage not included in the promo as well, because every fare page has to have the same data in order for the content management system to work. It’s not like the old days where you programmed a different web page for each sailing — we now literally have only one or two total web “pages” backing every voyage, and the URL just tells it what content to stuff in each field of the template. Hopefully they can get a booking engine up and running soon, that will fill in a lot of these gaps, even for many of us that would never book directly.
