We just returned from Roatan where we spent the day with my 70+ mother. We hire a van for the day and had a fantastic time. They will cater the day to your choosing. We had a complete island tour that included beach time and shopping. Ask for Larry, he was the best tour guide ever! Don't miss this port, it is the most beautiful island you will ever enjoy. If you are interested e mail them at jacksong2005@yahoo.com Tell them Caron, Jean ans Tori say hi!

My husband and I have been to Roatan twice and each time we caught a cab and asked the driver to stay with us all day. He charged about $70. Have him take you to the West End area for quaint shops and restaurants, ask him to stop by the very interesting cameo-making shop- Castle Cameos- close to the cruise ship- ask him to show you the view of the island from atop on of the hills, and stroll through the Mission Shops marekt area, just to the right of the cruise ships. This is much nicer than the island trip shore excursion through the ship. Roatan is very nice and in the more "rough-looking" areas of Coxen Hole, your cab driver will take good care of you. Enjoy!:)

We have been to Roatan twice. The 2nd trip we booked a car & driver for the day with Victor Bodden. It was a wonderful day. Victor met us at the dock & introduced us to our driver, Ali. They will take you on a tour of the island, anywhere you want to go if you have something in mind, or will make suggestions. Vehicles are air conditioned. Our driver, Ali, was a a really nice guy & a great tour guide. We booked through Victor on his website & you do not pay anything until the end of your tour. When we return to the island, we will book through Victor again. They will customize your tour if anyone in the group has physical limitations. Have a great trip!
