Question about purchasing trip insurance on the X website...when does it show up on your reservation booking?

Or does it show up on your booking? I haven't passed final payment as yet so I get the cancellation rider, etc. And do I get a confirmation email from X when it hits their system?

 

Of course, I may have missed this info along the way whilst researching...

 

Please, no advice why I should or why I shouldn't purchase it thru them, etc, etc. I'll make that call. I just want to know the process...if one exists...lol.

ETA: I already made the booking some time ago (months)...just didn't purchase insurance that day...
