alrose251 Posted March 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2006 Does anyone have a copy of the menu for Salsa's? My DH does not like mexican or Tex Mex food:( , but I do! Was wondering if there were any other type food (chicken strips, hamburger, club sandwich) ? Thanks
JerseyMom Posted March 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2006 Hi, I believe they have meatloaf on the menu. If that doesn't work, how about the fajitas - I think I tried the shrimp fajitas and he might like those even though he's not a big fan of Tex Mex. judyf Posted March 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 20, 2006 My mother had the ribs said they were okay not great. I read the fajitas are great. I think I will try them this cruise.

Dolphins Posted March 21, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Ooooooooooooooooooooh! I may have to eat in Salsas EVERY night!!!! :D Si'! ~Connie We love Salsa's and always eat there more than once during a cruise. We love the ambiance, the beautiful stained glass ceilings and the pleasant music from the atrium. Those first three desserts are all outstanding and you don't have to like Tex-Mex to enjoy the excellent Mesquite Chicken salad, the steamy Shrimp Fajitas and delicious Enchiladas. Enjoy. silkhair1 Posted March 21, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Salsa's is just like Endless Summer on the Star. My husband and father got the ribs and loved them. I thought their guacomole was heaven, and the salsa was great! I wish we went there more than once, but we will go there more next cruise! YUM

newmexicoNita Posted March 21, 2006 #12 Share Posted March 21, 2006 There's also Barbecued Pork Spareribs. If the ribs are anything like what was served in Tangos on the Jewel they are as good as it gets. Basically we found Tangos to be anything but true Tex Mex, not spicey or particularly appealing to be honest but the ribs were wonderful. Reading what everyone has to say about Salsa's really brings up the reminder: food is so subjective. NMnita
lastingtouch Posted March 21, 2006 #13 Share Posted March 21, 2006 FYI- The Spicy Crab Corn Chowder is the best. We usually order a double portion. Yum...just thinking about it! :D Diane
Dolphins Posted March 21, 2006 #14 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Diane- We also loved the spicy Crab corn Chowder NewMexicoNita- Having sailed on both the Jewel and the Dawn, we found Jewel's Tango not as nice as Dawn's Salsa, both in quality of food and ambiance (we missed the soaring atrium and the glass elevators). Pattie63- Salsa is not open for lunch.
BILLP1 Posted March 21, 2006 #15 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Also this is a no additional fee restaurant and the food usually comes out hot.

Pattie63- Salsa is not open for lunch. Glad to hear that, we loved the tapas on the Sun so when we sailed the Jewel I was all prepared for a repeat pleasure. Certainly it didn't happen. It was my only disappointment on the Jewel, everything else was above my wildest imagination. I thought, after almost 20 cruises nothing would really impress me that much. WRONG, the Jewel certainly did. NMnita
