ctipton55 Posted March 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Hi we are combining the 4 night Mercury cruise in September out of Seattle with the 3 night making it a 7 night cruise. How does Celebrity handle the turnaround day. We will have to move cabins between the two voyages. I am hoping we stay on board. Would like to hear how it was handled for others. Thank you. CaliforniaDreamin Posted March 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2006 They will make new seapass cards for your new room. Our steward had our suitcases moved to the new cabin. We went ashore to do some laundry as we were on 7 day btb's. They won't make you get off though. Sometimes, I have read, they have special lunch menus for people on btb who have lunch onboard. DaneViking Posted March 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Hi Yes, you will be able to stay on board, or go ashore if you wish. They will provide you with a pass which allows you to go ashore and get back on the ship. The steward will help you with the bagage transfer between the cabins. And last but not least, for B2B cruiseres there will be and open seating lunch in the main dining room. We did B2B on Millie a couple of years ago, and that was the procedure. My assumption is that the procedures are the same across the fleet. Enjoy your cruise....
judyfssw Posted March 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2006 We did a b2b last month on the Constellation. Fortunately, we were able to stay in the same room. We met after all the passengers had disembarked and were taken through immigration and then, we could either go back onto the ship or into San Juan. There was no message of a special luncheon for us in the main dining room. It was handled well and efficiently. Have a couple of great cruises. corpfinman Posted March 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Just back from a B2B on Constellation. On the day had to go thro US Immigration at San Juan, and told to assemble at 11.00 am in a meeting room to be escorted ashore. 70 people squeezed in and our ears were assailed by loud music (painful) as the bridge decided to choose that time to test the PA system. Even the officer i/c us could not get them to stop. Complaines at Puser desk but they were not interested. Otherwise a great B2B cruise.
esther e Posted March 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Just curious, do you have to get up at a god-awful time for breakfast or not?
corpfinman Posted March 21, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2006 No . Breakfast finished at 9.00 and we were there at 8.30 when most people had already gone.
