Past Guest Discount?

How much is the past guest discount? I'm scheduled for my first Carnival cruise in June, and I'm already thinking about scheduling another one! Is it a set discount or does it vary? For those of you who have used the past guest discount, how much of a discount did you receive?

There isn't really a "past guest discount"... they sometimes have cruises and specials for past guests... but not a set discount. You will just need to pay attention to your Currents when you start getting them and also the email specials... they will list any past guest specials.

They really do vary, in December got about 15% off on a Liberty gty balcony, for May, got about 10% off, a one cat upgrade and a specific room...

 

Hook up with your PVP and have them looking for you.

A lot of the time, the discount depends on when you sail. I am a teacher so it summers, holidays, etc. Friends that can go in January/February save a bundle!

We have to cruise in the summer when our kids are out of school. It's peak season and I don't think we've ever gotten a past passenger discount. We're booked for our 8th Carnival cruise.

We're also cruising in summer, due to kids, and as past passengers we got a 2 category upgrade. TA looked up everything for us, got our customer numbers, etc. You should look into it.

Hola, There are no set rules when it comes to upgrades. We have sailed Carnival 4 times in 3 years and have never had an upgrade. This year we took a couple with us and they got an upgrade. Go figure.

I said we never got a past passenger discount. I should mention that I tried every time, but it was never available for the cruises we wanted.
